Dating Big Bird -0-

I'm not sure how I ended up with this book...probably liberated it from a ship's library; should have left it for the crew library. It involves a passel of 35 yr olds eager to cheat the biological clock and have kiddies. The author is known to have written a comedy or two. This one missed; she tried too hard to be funny or clever with almost every sentence begging for a laugh or giggle or at least an 'oh my'. The angst was too plain, the story too simple, the writing too cute, the title too catchy, which is probably what intrigued me in the first place. Win some, lose some.

Books I'm Reading

  • Bones, Rocks and Stars by Chris Turney
  • Kick Ass by Carl Hiaasen
  • Life by Richard Fortey
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a bowl of whipped cream in the other, my 1935 Pooh Bear and a good book tucked under my arms, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
